There's a Lie in Believe!

   There's a lie in 'Believe'. There's a lock with no key; a plane with no pilot. We are constantly told to 'just believe' in ourselves,and believe in our dreams. And while it sounds good as an adage to encourage, it falls short of giving the whole recipe for success.
   There was a time when I believed I could become a professional bodybuilder. I believed it. I believed from my head down to my toes. But, so what? I just read about a man who believes he was abducted by aliens (He, I think, was probed from his head down to his toes!).Belief is an essential beginning. But it is a lie that that is ALL you need to achieve your dreams. Belief is just the fuel that will lead to action. Without acting on your beliefs, beliefs remain just that--a belief. People who ONLY believe are those who may be heard at the end of their lackluster lives muttering, "I coulda been a contender...". But for those who put action to their beliefs, they are not only contenders, but the victors in life. 
    Whatever your dream is, whatever you believe you are capable of doing, or whatever you believe this life is calling you to do, you MUST take action! Action, undergirded with infatigable belief, will always be rewarded. Whether you're looking for a first place trophy, a corner office, or the knowledge that you possess superpowers, doing the necessary work and finding the fortitude and self-discipline to make your dreams a reality are all rewards in themselves. Rewards that will last a lifetime. A lifetime full of new beliefs. A lifetime full of ACTION!
   Every time I look at my pro card I am reminded that dreams can turn to beliefs and beliefs can lead to action, and action can lead to victory. So I'm a dreamer and I'm a believer, but I'm also an action hero! Don't believe the lie...take ACTION!
