Patriotism: So Yesterday
Granted their website has some very good images, but the current Ancestry.com TV commercial is a disturbing reminder of where we find ourselves culturally these days.
A young lady of around 17 shares her excitement over finding out her great grandmother was a nurse during WWII. She is awed that she was only 17 at the time. But her pride in her great grandmother really lies in her ability to see “something happening, and getting involved”.
Her heroism, according to this young lady, comes in believing in something so strongly you just “get involved “, not the core reason that motivated her to become a nurse in the first place. So supporting the country in war time is comparable to spray painting a statue and giving the finger to a cop?
Serving in the US military is an honor and a tremendous sacrifice. Defacing property and showing your arse is not. Clear?

Our current zeitgeist has told ‘Orwellian’ to hold its beer. According to the new rule book, your feelings are your free pass to validation of any opinion, as long as you’re really, really...no...REALLY passionate about it. Causes are all relative. It’s about a hate-filled wind of change, baby, and you better get on board quick. We’ve even made up a new verb just to show how tolerant we really are, it’s called, ‘cancelling’. And it will happen to you if you don’t close your eyes to the naked Emperor.
So Patriotism, thanks it’s been fun, but you’re just another casualty on our war against Western Civilization.
Facts be damned. Logic? Oh, please. And don’t get me started on History! As Michelle Obama opined, we need a “new history “ & “new traditions “. Marxism anyone?
The idea of Patriotism is being attacked...on purpose. An attack that has been going on for a long time. We truly are frogs in a pot at this point.
Silence to THIS is consent. May common sense prevail and may the Church stand firm. If His people...
