Finding the House No Wolf Can Blow Down

He strides up to his pulpit eager to express his anger. He's been seething all week as he's heard from his television mentors, that there's a tyrant in the White House. He can't contain his anger at the news, the tyrant, and of course the fools that voted for him. But he thanks God that there's an outlet for his anger--his pulpit! And so he rushes to vent his anger before a captive audience who came to hear the Good News of Christ but instead will hear a screed of a bitter ideologue. To pull off this bait and switch he must somehow tie the weeks Gospel reading into a modern-day political message. But it's this type of exegetical gymnastics of which he's become a master!
For the disgruntled politically minded preacher the Gospel is but a tool and a license. A tool to deliver his political views and personal gripes, and a license to peddle these personal views in the "Name of Jesus". He is a wolf.
And he is not alone. The churches of America with their many and sundry denominations are filled with wolves lifting their own personal views over and above the Word of God.
How did these wolves find their way into our churches in America? Why are the numbers of wolves growing while the number of congregants is decreasing? A good question would be, "Who benefits?"
When the idealogue preacher vents his (or her) opinions before an unsuspecting congregation, those who came to church for the edification of their souls leave empty and disappointed. They often will try to find another church in another denomination or a non-denominational church in hopes the preacher there will 'Just give me Jesus!'. Others will call it a day with church attendance altogether. And sadly, there are those who hear the political howls of the wolf and eagerly join the pack. Soon the church is not a source of salvation but a political entity; no longer a church but an Emerald City of Social Justice.
And to answer the previous good question of who benefits--it's the wolves of course!
Their hope is that through their twisting of Scripture mixed with messages the Franklin School would be proud of, the word 'Christian' would take on new meaning. By adopting certain political views and viewing history through a steady stream of negative -ism's and injustices, their 'gospel' will be exclusively a social justice message, and the name Christian will become synonymous with 'social justice warrior.
This is the elite capture of all denominations and non-denominations in America. This effort to infiltrate and redefine Christianity has been going on long before AD 1517, and its success is seen here in America in the goofiness, heresies, eternal splitting, and moral decay of the 12,000 plus denominations Luther's 'reforming' has wrought.
Along with church attendance, America's Biblical IQ has dropped dramatically. Our knowledge of Scripture and Christian history is equally dismal. We've reduced Christ to an option, a good idea, or a spiritual rabbit's foot. And because of our great ignorance, we are easy prey for the wolves.
Let us ask ourselves another question. How can we drive out the wolves?
First, we must be able to spot them. If the preachers message sounds more like CNN than salt and light, and their sermons sound more like their running for office than defending the gospel, you may be in the presence of a wolf.
Then, we must reject their message. Christians must never give in to the lupine culture that seeks to destroy the one, true faith from the inside.
From the Methodists to the Anglicans, so many denominations have lost their way, and hence their lampstand. And it's all by design. There have always been wolves at the door of the Church, but here in America, the wolves have invaded the pews, the leadership, and the pulpits of her Protestant and non-denominational churches and have led them into Babylon along with the Catholic church.
Christians must awaken and realize they've been lulled to sleep by those who wish for their destruction. The wolf cares nothing about your soul, because his father Satan hates your soul. We are at war not with bad preaching, heretical teaching, and post-modern secularists, we are at war with Satan. Ours is a spiritual battle waged against all that stands against Christ and His Bride, the Church. In the churches of the Reformation the battles have been lost. Yet hope remains!
The prodigals of the One, True Church have seen their leadership infiltrated and their morals and dogmas compromised. The culture is leading their churches when it should be the exact opposite! Again, we ask, "Who benefits?".
The answer is as frightening as it is obvious--Satan. Satan loves to see churches emptying out of members while filling up with wolves and demons (a distinction without a difference).
And while it is true that Satan delights in watered down theology, easy believism, and heterodoxy, his minions in collars, robes, and trendy outfits also enjoy remaking Christianity in their own sick image. They happily do the work of the Prince of Darkness by proclaiming themselves to be vessels of enlightenment.
Yet their enlightening messages downplay the Church and its teachings and traditions in favor of their own private interpretations of Scripture. Who doesn't love a 'hot take' on the ancient faith?
Ironically, it is the ancient faith that has become the beneficiary of hot takes and cold faith. Many lost sheep are finding their way into the Church that has not changed with the times nor sought to please men and their misguided ideas. Like a modern day Ark the Orthodox Church is a place of refuge and salvation for those running from 'the pack'. This is the One True Church that Christ began at Pentecost and has remained faithful to His teachings throughout the centuries. This is the Church that Christ built and no wolf can blow down!
The Orthodox Church is the Ark of Salvation. and it is calling American Christians who have been alienated by the sourness of carnal preaching and culture friendly nonsense to come and taste the sweetness of a life in Christ.
The Ancient Church still stands and Jesus Christ remains its Head. Let us abandon the woke churches and their deadly ideology and enter into the Ark that is the Orthodox Church. There you will find life.

"Orthodoxy is what Christ taught, the Apostles preached, and the Fathers kept." ~St. Athanasius
