What is Your Standard?

    What is your standard? Your basis for reasoning; your basis for argumentation? Your standard for truth? If you’ve never thought about it you really should. 

    Mine is the Word of God. His Word is the plum line for testing the claims of this world.  I can rest on the Truth of His Word and clearly see the lies being peddled by the purveyors of global secularism and Godless progressives . It’s like seeing the stitches on a 90 mph fastball. I see their worldview before it crosses the plate.  

    So when I’m told the country is awash in Islamaphobia and every other Phobia de jour, I am beyond skeptical. And when I am NOT told (thru MSM or Capital Hill) about the persecution & slaughter of Christians around the world I understand. Obviously, a different standard is being used. 

    What standard is being used when everyone BUT Christians are victims, and Christians are portrayed as being the SOURCE of hatred and bias? What is the standard of truth? Without the Word of God man becomes his own standard. He alone decides what’s true, good, and beautiful. These are the sinking sands the Bible speaks about (Mat 7:26). Worldviews based on feelings or hopes are subject to whims and the signs of the times. Without a basis for truth opinion and bias are free to form narratives that support ones worldview. In this thinking one cannot condemn another’s ‘bad’ behavior nor give a consistent reason for their own self-proclaimed ‘good’ behavior. The standard is relative. And when that is the case, the surety of their claims is always suspect. How can we trust what we hear or read from the many sources of information we have clamoring for our attention today?

    We are being fed narratives that serve our Godless anti-Christian overlords. Who are these overlords? Legislators, MSM, Hollywood, and Academia. None of which uses the Word of God as their standard. In fact, most of these populations rail against God’s Word & those who embrace it. Yet the Bible says the fool says there is no God (Psalm 14:1)  So why oh, why do we continue to listen to or read fools tales? Turn off the noise of those who hate you and lie to you and get out into your neighborhood and community . Talk with your neighbors. Pray for your neighborhood. Walk by the homes and pray for its inhabitants. 

    The world would divide us into tribes of our own making; our gender, our race, our income etc.. Yet Christ calls us to be UNITED through Him. His Word is the final arbiter of Truth. He is our Standard. And if He is our Standard we are ruined to the lies of this world. 

    Let God be your Standard and let Love be your guide. For Love will prevail as we raise our Standard!
